SAYING “YES” IN ITALY

And stay a little longer.

The night before, everyone is already gathered together. The pizza is placed in the middle of the table, someone orders another bottle of wine, and friends who until now had only known each other through stories strike up a conversation. The wedding is tomorrow. Today, it’s time to settle in.

That’s exactly what we love about weddings in Italy: the time spent together often begins before the ceremony and continues the next morning at breakfast.

At ONN Events & Weddings, we’re here to guide you through your wedding abroad—especially in Italy. From the initial search for a venue to the very last detail of the day.

Which part of Italy is right for you?

A villa with a garden and enough space for a weekend get-together? A winery with a long table in the courtyard? Or a celebration by the lake, with aperitifs on the terrace?

Just the search for a venue makes you want to get married. But it’s worth taking a closer look: How many guests can stay overnight on site? How far away is the nearest airport? Until what time can music be played outside? And where will dinner be served if it rains?

A venue needs to suit your number of guests, your budget, and the way you want to celebrate. That’s why, in addition to the beautiful photos, we also look at the practical details. That way, you can make a decision you feel comfortable with.

From a Wedding Anniversary

will be a weekend together

Since family and friends are coming anyway, it’s a great opportunity to spend a little more time together. Maybe you could start with a pizza party on Friday. On Saturday, you can have the wedding ceremony, an aperitivo, dinner, and a party. And on Sunday, you can meet up one last time for coffee before everyone heads home.

This gives you the chance to really get to know your guests. On your wedding day, you won’t have to try to catch everyone briefly between the group photo and the main course.

Even so, the weekend doesn’t have to be packed with activities. Some free time by the pool, a stroll through town, or a small lunch gathering can be just as much a part of it. You should also have some time to yourselves now and then.

Aperitivo, pasta, and the question of dinner

Food often plays a major role at a wedding in Italy. There’s plenty to discover even during the aperitivo, followed later by several courses and, to finish, perhaps an espresso at the bar.

We’ll work with you to figure out how this fits into your schedule. How long should the aperitivo last? When would you like to cut the cake? How much time will be set aside for dinner—and when should the dance floor be full?

It’s also important to clarify the details early on: vegetarian and vegan dishes, allergies, children’s menus, beverages, and any additional hours. Especially when it comes to package deals, it’s worth taking a close look at what’s actually included. This makes the costs clearer and helps you avoid surprises during the planning process.

Partying outside? Sure. As long as we have a good plan in case it rains

For many couples, a dinner under the open sky is one of the reasons to get married in Italy. Long tables, warm lighting, and an evening you’d love to make last just a little longer.

We plan for this possibility from the very beginning by offering a suitable alternative. After all, even in Italy, it can rain, get windy, or be very hot in the summer.

You should like the backup venue, and it should offer enough space for your guests. It’s just as important to be clear about when the decision to switch venues will be made and who will handle the arrangements. If these issues are resolved in advance, you’ll be able to look forward to the weather forecast with much greater peace of mind.

Your guests are coming along

the organization as well

If you’re having a wedding abroad, your guests will need a little more information: about travel arrangements, accommodations, transportation, and the weekend’s schedule. The clearer you make this information, the easier it will be for everyone to plan.

We’ll help you gather this information and plan the logistics on the ground—especially when guests are staying at different accommodations or moving to a different venue between the wedding ceremony and the reception.

There’s also a lot to coordinate behind the scenes: delivery times, setup, technical details, points of contact, and collaboration among service providers. We communicate in German, English, and Italian and make sure that all the arrangements align.

Get Married in Italy with ONN Events & Weddings

We’ll help you find a venue, review quotes, plan your budget and schedule, and coordinate with vendors. On the day of the event, our team will handle all the coordination so you can focus on celebrating with your guests.

What we’re most interested in is how you envision your weekend. Maybe you already know exactly where you want to get married. Or maybe, for now, you just have a vague idea of an Italian villa, good food, and all your favorite people gathered around one table.

Tell us about it. Together, we’ll figure out what your wedding in Italy could look like—and what it takes to turn that idea into a truly wonderful weekend.
